As many of you know, Caitlyn was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Hodgkin's Lymphoma is a type of blood cancer that affects the body’s lymphatic and immune systems.


Caity’s fight has only just begun. The journey we have taken to get Caity diagnosis has been a tough one; Caity has had countless doctors appointments, tests, procedures, surgeries and scans, over the past months. Thus far, throughout this process, Caity's amazing spirit and resilience have beams through. We’ve all watched as she smiles and laughs her way through and somehow maintains her dedication to going to school.


The journey ahead will be challenging for Caity as she navigates the physical and mental impacts of battling cancer. Insurance will help, but we’re quickly learning that many medical expenses such as fertility preservation are not covered. Outside of medical expenses, the travel, logging and missed time from work makes this that much harder.

To know Caity is to be amazed at how far she has come. Caity was diagnosed with autism when she was 10 years old. She has worked hard to show people that autism is just another word for how your brain works differently. Caity is an honor student at Hillcrest HS. She is in the Color Guard and President of HOSA(Health Occupations Students of America) at Golden Strip. She is taking an EMT courses in order to get certified so she can help others. Caity loves the arts, she is an avid drawer and she is always singing musicals around the house. Hamilton is her all time favorite.

Caity has an army of family, friends, classmates and others touched by her story who want to support her.
